1991, Temple of The Dog self title, cassette

Cassette Tuesday we go w/ a few unknowns that if they
put this out about 2 years later it would of be titled a Super Group
known as Temple of The Dog self title, cassette.

Temple of The Dog is a combination of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
This recording is a tribute to Chris Cornell's roommate and front man
Andrew Wood of the band Mother Love Bone. Andrew who succumbed to
drugs was a real flashy lead singer. Andrew had the attitude of
David Bowie, Freddy Mercury and Marc Bolan. Highly recommend
Mother Love Bone "Apple" release. The hit from Temple of The Dog is
"Hunger Strike" sung by Eddie Vedder. But the songs I really like and
remind me of Andrew are "Say Hello 2 Heaven", "Reach Down" w/
Chris Cornell's vocals that have so much feeling in it. Other tunes are just as good
are "Trouble Times", "Wooden Jesus", and "Pushin' Forward Back"
are also my favorites. This group put out an amazing release
and just recently they released a boxset of unreleased and demo tracks.
I heard some of the unreleased tracks and have to say there was a reason they
didn't make it to the final cut. Some of the demos seemed ok but I'll just
stick w/ the original release. A fitting tribute to Andrew Wood.
