1992, Singles, soundtrack, cassette

This Cassette Tuesday the 1992 movie "Singles" soundtrack cassette.
Now pushed back to May 19th "Singles" will be releasing it's 25th Anniversary reissue.
For now we go over the original 1992 issued cassette.

"Singles" movie written and directed by Cameron Crowe
was about twenty something relationships in Seattle
during the grunge period. Honestly I found the movie boring
w/ plenty of whiney talk. It could of used some
Quentin Tarantino dialog.

The soundtrack is another story. Comprised of some Seattle bands
Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone
The Mudhoney. Old Seattle favorite Jimi Hendrix and Heart that
goes by the name The Lovemongers. Only ones not from Washington is Paul Westerberg from
Minnesota and Smashing Pumpkins from Chicago.

Pearl Jam "State of Love And Trust" is my favorite track
and also my favorite Pearl Jam song of all time. The demo version was
later released on Pearl Jam "Ten" deluxe issue CD but not as good
as the original version on this cassette.
I also liked Paul Westerberg (of The Replacement) "Dyslexic Heart" which was a
surprise to me since I'm not a Replacement fan. The Lovemongers a group
containing the Heart sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson do an outstanding cover of
Led Zeppelin "Battle of Evermore".
